Helping moms and daughters embrace life wholeheartedly with confidence, courage, and care.

When my kids were getting ready to enter those messy middle school years, it was me who was struggling, BIG TIME. My head was on a swivel, constantly comparing my life and my kids to my friends’ lives and the experiences I just knew my family was missing.

Not all days were a fog, but most of them were filled with stress, anxiety and confusion. Often my solution to feeling insecure and self-doubt was to become overly involved in my kids’ lives. Regularly scrutinizing how they were doing in their friendships, the classroom, what teams they were on and how much recognition they were getting from their peers, teachers and coaches.

In those days, solid parenting looked like control (which happens to be my fave Janet Jackson album…co-winky-dink? I think not.)

I was dishin’ out trite advice, quick-fix solutions, emails to teachers, hot goss with other moms and Mama Bear energy like lives depended on it.

Add in a difficult, heartbreaking DEE-vorce, the dawn of the smartphone and social media and… ARE WE HAVIN’ FUN YET?

I was miserable but I didn’t love the company I was in. And the tighter my grip on my kids the more out of control my life, OUR lives, felt.

Fast forward to THESE DAYS…I know, I know, you want more stories from the noughties and the teens, yes? No worries, stick around, I got more where that came from.

But for now, let’s get to the good stuff.

These days I know that the need to control the people we love (and even those we don’t) comes from a lack of trust, and in the 2000s and early 2010s I had lost trust in myself and in my ability to be a sturdy leader in my home.

Ten years ago I decided to go all in on becoming a Master Certified Life Coach serving moms and daughters.

And while I’ve spent copious amounts of time, money and research dedicated to solving my anxiety and lack of confidence in my parenting and how to stop worrying about my kids, now, my clients don’t have to.

Because I’ve got a plan. For you, for your kids.

The only thing that comes close to matching the genuine, beautiful connection I have to myself and my young adult kids is the groundedness I feel MOST DAYS.

I can run down my resume and you’d see the BA degree in both Sociology and Communication. I can regale you with tales of horrible bosses and difficult work environments in the Ad biz and the time I pitched a 2M media plan to a room full of Japanese business execs who spoke no English after trying to figure out the NJ Turnpike in a KIA Sol.

But truly, the only thing you need to know is this: I got you. I can help you, your kids and your family feel better. Feel more like yourselves (the solid versions).

I may not know all the nitty gritty deets of your particular situation, but please REST easy knowing I’ve got a plan.

If you’d like to know how to spend one less day with white knuckles, tense shoulders, a tight jaw feeling sorry for and/or frustrated with your kid and like you absolutely CANNOT with the same struggle on REPEAT and the advice falling on stubborn adolescent ear holes

and right now you think your choices are

To double down on the advice, social engineering and quick fixes

Or

To throw up your hands in exhaustion…

Let’s talk.

I officially became Coach Betsy in 2015, but let’s be real—I’ve been playing this role my whole life. As a kid, I was always the one dishing out advice and shifting perspectives. It’s just who I am. Becoming a coach has allowed me to dive into my passion: helping women of all ages, especially moms and teens, trust themselves more and build stronger relationships.

I know you, I know what you’re going through, where you’ve been and how you feel.
